Heather Donovan

Heather Donovan is a piano and harp teacher with a BA and MA in music and over twenty years of teaching experience. Gustav's Musical World is her first children's picture book and was created through her experience trying to teach note reading to children. She wanted to come up with a fun way to introduce note recognition on the music staff to young children so they might get a head start before going to music classes in school or private lessons. Gustav's Musical World is going to be a series in which more notes will be added to each book.

Heather lives in Washington state with her husband and two dogs Gustav and Wolfgang. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, playing with dogs, and playing music.
